Sam R. Silverblatt, O.D.
I was born in Ruleville, Mississippi. After attending LSU in Baton Rouge for three years I was accepted and graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee in 1981. I am a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Louisiana State Association of Optometrist. I have been a member of the South Shreveport Rotary Club since 1984 and have served as an officer on several occasions. I have been Youth Group Advisor, President of the Brotherhood, and Board Member for B'nai Zion Temple. I am a Charter Member of Sci Port Discovery Center, friend of the Strand Theatre, and sponsored YMCA Youth Basketball for ten years. |

Sonia, Administrative Assistant
Sonia is orignally from San Antonio, Texas. Her husband's millitary career brought her to the area 16 years ago. She also has two kids, Nathan-18 and Isabella-12. Sonia has been a valued member of our practice for 10 years. She is the backbone of our practice and keeps this place running smooth. |

Crystin, Optometry Assistant
Crystin was born in Oscota, Michigan, raised in Bossier City, and a graduate of Parkway High School. She is an LSUS Magna Cum-laude graduate with a BS in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She is a former Alpha Epsilon Delta President at LSUS and a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma. Her aspirations are to enter the medical field in Pediatric Optometry. |

Rachel, Future Optometrist
Rachel was born and raised in River Ridge, Louisiana. She is an LSUS Magna Cum-laude graduate with her BS in Biology. She is attending NSUOCO-Class of 2014. She worked for Dr. Silverblatt for 4 years, and she will be back!!!!!!!

Joanne, Optician
Joanne is the highlight of our practice! She is originally from Rochester New York, but has been living in Shreveport since 1992. She has been with Dr. Silverblatt for 16+ years and we are not going to let her retire anytime soon!

Abby, Electronic Medical Records Coordinator and Head Security Guard
Abby was raised in Shreveport and is a graduate of Byrd High School. She is a senior Cellular/Molecular Biology Major with a Chemistry Minor. Abby is a member of LSUS Tri Beta Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Phi Kappa Phi. She plans to attend Law School after she graduates from LSUS. |
